The Panoramaweg is a very beautiful but challenging hiking trail that takes you through the "Landgravine Anna Elisabeth" cultural garden to the ruins of Rheinfels Castle. From there over the nature trail "Reusche Park" and further following the edge of the slope to numerous beautiful views and vantage points high above the Rhine valley. Vis-a-vis the Loreley rock, the path leads you down into the valley, where you return to St. Goar following the towpath.

Die Tour ist traumhaft und der obere Teil der Tour führt auch über den Traumpfad. Wehm sie zu kurz ist dem empfehle ich vom Parkplatz der Burg zu starten, so wie wir. Vorher noch die riesige, beeindruckende und nie bezwungene Burg Rheinfels mit Hund und Museum zu besichtigen. Dann gegenüber in die Tour ein zu steigen und die Tour hinten heraus zu erweitern. Wir haben noch den Wasserfall überquert und haben uns auf dem Loreleyblick Maria Ruh zum Kaffeetrinken eingefunden. Von dort kann man einen fantastischen Ausblick genießen. Ein toller Ort zum verweilen beim Kaffee. Fernglas mit bringen lohnt sich hier. Der Rückweg unten am Rhein entlang rundet die Tour fantastisch ab. St. Goar und St. Goarshausen sind fantastische Orte zum genießen. Wir haben uns den ganzen Tag zeit gelassen mit anschließendem Einkehren...

Startpunkt unserer Tour war nicht wie angegeben die Heerstraße in St Goar ( da gab es kaum Parkplätze), sondern der gebührenpflichtige Parkplatz der Burg Rheinfels ( 0,60 € pro 1/2 h ) . Das Wegelogo des Panoramaweges hat sich uns erst am Ende der Tour erschlossen. Es ist ein Holzschild mit der Silhouette der Burg Rheinfels ( dies wurde uns erst an der Jugendherberge in St.Goar klar ) ... aber mit GPS geht's. Es gibt viele schöne Ausblicke auf den Rhein mit der Burg Katz bis hin zum Loreleyfelsen. Der Rückweg über den Leinpfad hat auch seinen Reiz, man kann Graugänse, Bachstelzen, sogar Kormorane aus nächster Nähe beobachten. Ein Teilstück des Weges war wegen Felsrutsch gesperrt ( das hat uns ein Ortsansässiger gesagt ) , leider wurde man sonst nirgendwo darüber informiert. Als weiteres Hindernis galt es einen umgestürzten Baumriesen zu überwinden, was für uns kein Problem darstellte, trotzdem sollte man sich um die Räumung kümmern. Wir haben für die rund 8 km nicht wie angegeben 2:30 h gebraucht, sondern 1h mehr, aber sonst könnte man die tollen Aussichten nicht gebührend genießen. Es gibt auch etliche Infotafeln . Alles in allem ein schöner Weg der teilweise zusammen mit der neuen Traumschleife Mittelrhein verläuft .
