At Van Volxem, there prevails a spirit of timelessness. We believe that many things should be done differently, but also that many things cannot be done better than has been practiced on our steep slopes for thousands of years. We believe in authentic handcrafted wines, fermented by wild yeasts and made without fining agents. Our vision is to recreate the excellent worldwide reputation of Saar wines, which they had enjoyed around 1900, by returning to traditional artisanal crafts. With knowledge, trust, time for what is truly important, and patience, we are able to create fascinating wines of inestimable value.
