Facing south and southwest on steep slopes and terraces, they surround the small Moselle village, in ideal exposure to absorb the sun and store it in the slate soil. The preservation and maintenance of this incomparable cultural landscape is the concern of the winemaker Albrecht Gietzen and the winemaking family, which practices viticulture with all their heart and commitment. Through careful late harvesting, gentle pressing and careful aging of the wines in the cellar with slow fermentation and long storage on the fine lees, winemaker Albrecht Gietzen allows the wines their very own opportunity for development.
