The oldest half-timbered house in the Nahe region, built in 1392, not only takes you back to times long past - you can also enjoy a hearty meal here. Situated in the middle of Idar-Oberstein's picturesque old town, just a few minutes below the famous Felsenkirche, a cosy, rustic floor offers space for about 50 guests. Here, the chef still cooks herself and cultivates the tradition of truly good cuisine with dedication, skill and care. The "old Gote" is justifiably famous for its excellent original Idar-Oberstein spit-roast. Every pleasure is convincingly rounded off by a varied selection of the best Nahe wines.
