This traditional family hotel stands near the oldest roman monument in the North of the Alps, the "Igeler Säule". The house is situated in a nice little village nearby the City of Trier (Germanys oldest City with many roman monuments like the Porta Nigra). The hotel offers you every comfort for an enjoyable stay in the Mosel-Region.

Some information on accessibility are listed below. For more descriptions please see „Detailed information“.

  • There are two signposted parking spaces for people with disabilities (parking space size: 350 cm x 500 cm; distance to entrance 10 m).
  • The path from the car park you to the entrance is easy to walk and drive on.
  • The main entrance can only be reached via a staircase with 3 steps and a handrail on both sides. A 170 cm long ramp with 4% gradient is available at the side entrance for stepless access.
  • The entrance door at the side entrance is 89 cm wide. There is a bell next to it.
  • The reception counter with cash desk area is 120 cm high. The doors in public areas are at least 80 cm wide, passageways at least 88 cm, corridors 120 cm and wider.
  • There are no carousel or revolving doors.
  • All rooms that can be used by the guest are at ground level or can be reached by elevator.
  • In the restaurant and breakfast room there are wheelchair accessible tables.
  • The width of the elevator door is 90 cm, the cab is 110 cm x 140 cm. Control elements are not mounted on a horizontal panel.

Room 11 with sanitary room

  • The manoeuvring spaces in the sleeping area are 120 cm x 120 cm in front of essential immobile furnishings and 130 cm x 180 cm to the left and right of the bed. The bed is compatible for a bed lift.
  • A nursing bed cannot be provided.
  • The narrowest passage width in the room is 90 cm.
  • The door opens inwards.
  • The manoeuvring spaces in the sanitary room are as follows:
  • in front of the toilet 200 cm x 120 cm
  • in front of the washbasin 130 cm x 120 cm
  • The toilet is accessible from the left (at least 90 cm x 70 cm).
  • There are handles on both sides. The left one can be folded up.
  • The shower area at ground level is 150 cm x 150 cm. There is a shower chair and horizontal grab handles. The washbasin is wheelchair compatible and the mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.


Public toilet for people with disabilities

  • The toilet door can be opened with a Euro key.
  • The manoeuvring spaces in front of the toilet and washbasin are 120 cm x 120 cm.
  • The toilet can be accessed from the left (90 cm x 70 cm).
  • There are handles on both sides. The left one can be folded up.
  • The washbasin is wheelchair compatible and the mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.

Hearing impaired and deaf

  • There is a visibly perceptible alarm in the building.
  • There is no audio induction loop.
  • In the elevator, the outgoing emergency call is not visibly confirmed.
  • There are tables with low background noises in the restaurant and breakfast room. The electro-acoustic sound system can be switched off/adjusted.
  • A television with videotext is available in room 11 and there is at least one free electrical outlet near the bed.
  • Free WiFi access is available.
  • The knocking at the room door and the ringing of the telephone are not indicated by a flashing signal.

  • The main and side entrances are visually rich in contrast and clearly visible from the outside.
  • The staircase with 3 steps at the main entrance has handrails on both sides. There are no high-contrast steps.
  • Glass doors are not marked with safety markings.
  • There are no carousel or rotary doors.
  • Rooms and corridors are brightly lit.
  • There are no obstacles, e.g. objects protruding into the path/room.
  • There is no uninterrupted guidance system with floor indicators.
  • An emergency call is confirmed audibly in the elevator. The stopping position is not announced by speech.
  • In the restaurant and breakfast room there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, on which there are no lamps standing or hanging that restrict the field of vision or eye contact. The menu is in large print.
  • Operating elements can be captured tactilely.
