Women lived in the three beguin houses from the 14th century on under the protection of the christian coommunity. They were largely autonomous and close to the local franciscan monastery even without monastery entrance and permanent vow. Get an insight in how they earned their subsistence in these rough times and how they experienced the city.

In den drei Beginenhäusern Oppenheims lebten Frauen ab dem 14. Jahrhundert im Schutz der christlichen Gemeinschaft. Ganz ohne Klostereintritt und dauerhaftem Gelübde standen sie weitgehend autonom dem hiesigen Franziskaner Kloster nahe. Bekommen Sie einen Einblick, wie sie in diesen rauen Zeiten ihren Lebensunterhalt bestritten und wie sie die Stadt in dieser Zeit erlebten.
