Around the recultivated quarry you can still see the different types and crystallisation forms of basalt.
Characteristic: Pentagonal or hexagonal columns in various thicknesses and heights, often visible in "milestones".
The basalt park can be reached via Bismarckstraße in the direction of Zinhain.
The southern entrance is located approx. 500 m from the corner of Bahnhofsstraße/Bismarckstraße on the right-hand side.
The circular path with information boards is open all year round and admission is free.
