What awaits visitors to the dinosaur park?
A 1.5 km circular route leads through the attractive open-air site of the dinosaur park. It takes visitors on a journey through the earth’s history. It begins 420 million years ago in Devon and ends with the Neanderthals and mammoths around 40,000 years ago. And it includes life on the whole planet. Everyone knows about Tyrannosaurus Rex, which lived in North America and East Asia, but what about the “Eifelosaurus”? This local prehistoric creature can be seen in the park in Ernzen. The more than 100 reconstructions of extinct animals reflect current scientific findings.
For children, the dinosaur park offers many opportunities for play and a chance to get involved in activities such as digging up a dinosaur skeleton, painting dinosaur figures or preparing fossils.
There’s also a dino-snack bar and a large dino-shop. The park also has themed tours, workshops and various events.
