Experience, explore and discover projections about the world of our ancestors in this talking museum.
In the true-to-life Hochwald Museum in Hermeskeil which was modernized in 2003 you can understand the life and work of our ancestors. A very unusual museum has been created here: the information is presented in an entertaining, varied and aesthetic way. Although the exhibits on display give an insight into the local history of the Hochwald region, it is not a museum of local history in the usual sense. The diverse alternating projections of the world of our ancestors open a mosaic window onto the history of the entire Hochwald region. Experience the past in realistic productions, fictitious conversations, information banners and additional audio-visual information on absorbing topics. A guide is not necessary when going on an expedition of discovery but you can go on your journey through time with an audio guide. In 2005 the museum won the first Rheinland-Pfalz museum prize for its exemplary presentation of the history of the Hochwald region. Guides available on application. Tel: 06503/809-500
