The Loreley Visitor Center was opened in 2000 as an official branch of the Expo in Hanover. In the 6-part exhibition there is information about the topic "World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley" and a 20-minute 3-D film. In the tourist information you can get information about the area of ​​the Romantic Rhine.

The restaurant "Am mythischen Fels" - with an outdoor terrace - offers delicious snacks, regional dishes and drinks. You can round off your day tour in a pleasant atmosphere or simply take a break.

  • There are 10 signposted parking spaces for people with disabilities (parking space size: 350 cm x 500 cm, distance to entrance 40 m).
  • The path from the car park to the visitor center is easy to walk and drive on and 200 cm wide. Bollards are present, the passage width is 150 cm.
  • The entrance door is 116 cm wide. Access to the building is threshold-free and stepless.
  • The sales counter with checkout area is 110 cm high. There is an equivalent communication possibility while sitting. The passage to the cash desk is 120 cm wide, the manoeuvring space in front of the chas desk is 150 cm x 150 cm.
  • There are no carousel or rotary doors.
  • Doors are at least 100 cm wide, passages 88 cm to 120 cm and the corridor is 120 cm wide. There are no restrictions due to equipment.
  • In the exhibition, the exhibits and information are predominantly recognizable and legible while sitting.


Public toilet for people with disabilities

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
  • in front of the toilet and the washbasin 150 cm x 150 cm
  • next to the toilet on the left 120 cm x 70 cm, on the right 90 cm x 70 cm
  • There are handles that can be folded up to the left and right of the toilet.
  • The washbasin is wheelchair compatible and the mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.

  • The main entrance is visually rich in contrast, but there is no perceptible change of floor covering.
  • The entrance door is a glass door without safety markings. Entrance area and customer room are brightly illuminated.
  • There are no carousel or rotary doors.
  • There are no obstacles, e.g. objects protruding into the path/room.
  • There is no uninterrupted guidance system with floor indicators.
  • Outdoor paths have tactilely detectable sidewalk boundaries.
  • In the exhibition, essential paths are visually rich in contrast, but not tactilely detectable. There is acoustic information on the well-lit exhibits.
  • Aids offered: reading aids (glasses, magnifying glasses, etc.)
