The castle and witch museum is located in the centre of Grimburg directly opposite the side entrance of the catholic daughter church St. Medardus. It contains finds from Grimburg and documents on the history of the former Kurtrian state castle. Outside opening hours: Groups on reservation and by appointment
The castle and witch museum was opened in September 2005 by the Förderverein Burg Grimburg e.V. in an 18th century farmhouse restored by the local community. In addition to regional history, the castle museum contains in particular the history around the former Kurtrian state castle from then until today. In the witch museum the visitor gets an insight into the time of the witch madness in the region. From methods of torture to individual fates, you can find out here how the men and women fared.
