- Persons with disabilities can use the two parking spaces of the Tourist Information Pirmasens in front of the entrance Roland-Betsch-Straße on request (parking space size: 300 cm x 500 cm).
- The path between the parking lot and the entrance to Roland-Betsch-Straße is 15 m long and easy to walk and drive on.
- The two entrances to the building in Roland-Betsch-Straße and Fröhnstraße are without steps or thresholds.
- The exhibition and other tested facilities, such as the cash desk and shop, are on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the building. A 110 m long ramp with 7% inclination (intermediate platforms available) leads from the ground floor to the 2nd floor. Alternatively, an elevator can be used that leads to all floors. The elevator car measures 120 cm x 200 cm (width x depth). The clear passage width of the lift door is 90 cm.
- The cash counter is 117 cm high. There is no alternative way of communication in a sitting position.
- All passageways/doors are at least 88 cm wide.
- Seats are available in the exhibition rooms.
- The exhibits are predominately visible in a sitting position and the information on the exhibits is readable in a sitting position. Most of the exhibits are interactive and encourage participation and playful exploration.
- No guided tours are offered for people with disabilities.
- In the cafeteria there are no wheelchair accessible tables.
Public toilet for people with disabilities
- The manoeuvring space is as follows:
- left of the toilet 90 cm x 70 cm, right of the toilet 100 cm x 70 cm;
- in front of the toilet and washbasin 150 cm x 150 cm;
- at the door 200 cm x 140 cm.
- Both sides of the toilet have fold-up handles.
- The washbasin is wheelchair compatible and the mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
- An alarm trigger is present.

- An outgoing emergency call is confirmed audibly in the elevator. Alternatively, a ramp and stairs are available.

- In the cafeteria there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, on which there are no lamps or hanging that restrict the field of vision. There are no seating areas with low background noises.

- The entrances are visually rich in contrast, but cannot be recognized by a tactile change of floor covering.

- In the elevator, the confirmation of an emergency call is made acoustically. The break position is not announced by spoken commands.

- In the exhibition rooms, essential walkways are visually rich in contrast, but cannot be grasped tactilely.
- The exhibition rooms and the exhibits are predominantly well illuminated.

- The signage of the rooms and the information about the exhibits are in legible, visually contrasting font.
