Dynamikum is the name of the first science centre in Rhineland-Palatinate that allows you to participate, research, experience and marvel. Everyone is a discoverer at the Dynamikum. On two floors and around 4,000 m2 of exhibition space, everything revolves around the theme of movement in the former Rheinberger shoe factory.
Never before has it been so exciting and entertaining to gain access to the elementary laws that govern our lives and the whole world. How is kinetic energy converted into mechanical energy? Why is it so much easier to lift loads with the help of a cleverly placed rod than with your bare hands? How can a ball roll uphill? The Dynamikum has the answers to these questions and many more. The best part: There is no need to marvel from a distance, as you can try things out for yourself. Over 160 exhibits are waiting to be discovered in a playful way by visitors of all ages who want to explore exciting and astounding phenomena from the natural sciences and technology. And when the weather is good, unusual outdoor exhibits centred on the subject of upwind attract visitors to the adjacent Strecktal Nature Park. Regular special exhibitions and events ensure that there is always something new to discover.
