High above Ranschbach, below the Kolping hut, in the middle of the Seligmacher vineyard, a Palatinate beach chair has been standing since 2020, built from an old wooden wine barrel that is 2.50 m high, 3 m wide and 1.80 m deep.
A former cooper from Ranschbach rebuilt the 2500 liter barrel in such a way that you can now sit comfortably in pairs and cuddled together in threes. With a glass of wine, the view can be lowered to Ranschbach over the vineyards to the Kleine Kalmit near Ilbesheim. In good weather, the view even extends in the south to the Black Forest and in the east to the Odenwald.
