Von der Burg Hohensolms fällt die Strecke in das tief eingeschnittene Kerbtal der Lemp ab. Weiter geht es umgeben von sanfter Hügellandschaft durch das liebliche Tal. Tendenziell abwärts führt Sie der Weg bis zur Mündung in die Dill bei Ehringshausen. Als Rundtour kann man den Dilltalradweg weiter dillaufwärts radeln und ab Herborn in den Aartalseeradweg einbiegen.
