Maare-Mosel cycle path (Daun-Bernkastel-Kues) plus "Strohn" loop
There, the volcano house and the lava bomb are just the place to go.
The Strohn Volcano House brings you closer to this topic. In the immediate vicinity is the Strohn "lava bomb" weighing about 120 tonnes - with its diameter of almost 5 metres, it is a geological peculiarity.
Through the breakthrough valley "Strohner Schweiz" along the Alfbach you can enjoy the wonderful nature up to the local community of Mückeln. A real insider tip there is the museum "Zum alten Eisen".
From there you return to the village of Gillenfeld to explore the next highlights on the Maare-Mosel cycle path.
