3x3 Salinental: VitalTour Ebernburg
The tour opens up the picturesque wine village of Ebernburg with its typical inns, leads past a sculpture park with a view of the mighty rock face of the Rotensfels massif, dives into dense forest areas and opens up an enchanting view of the Niederhausen reservoir. Again and again the landscape changes. In dark forest passages it goes past the Schinderhannesloch. Through meadows with wide horizons you hike with a view into the Alsenz valley and the Altenbaumburg, so the path opens up the scenic richness of the Naheland. The mighty Ebernburg is the starting and finishing point of the hike.

Turn-by-turn directions
From the hiking portal, we reach the actual tour via a short branch path. We take a sharp right at the fire station and hike to Burgdorf with its narrow alleys and cosy wine taverns. Via stairs we reach the Ebernburg with its impressive panoramic view. From the Ebernburg bridge, the path leads us along a ridge, first through vineyards, later through woodland. We reach Altenbaumburgblick across an open plateau. We continue through fields with distant views until we reach a shady valley path along a romantic orchard meadow. We follow the path, walk around a farmstead and reach the rustic Trombachtal valley. From the fork in the path, the trail goes gently at first, then steeply up to the Schinderhannesloch. After another short climb, a longer stretch on forest paths awaits us. Finally we reach a crossroads. From there, a branch path leads to the magnificent view of the reservoir. Following the hiking trail, we walk along old boundary stones through the forest. We reach the Kafelsblick before continuing on forest paths to the Birkerhof farm. From there, our path leads gradually downhill along vineyards to the stone sculpture park. Here we can enjoy the magnificent view with the stone book tower and Rotenfels, before meadow paths lead us back to the hiking portal.
