After a short walking time the Arweg is reached. The name of this street is derived from the Latin word "orare" = to pray. In case of death it was used as a prayer path. Even today the stations of the cross still catch the hiker's eye. Now we go to the former vineyard. In the Middle Ages, winegrowing was an important economic factor for Bad Breisig. In 1862, the cultivation of wine was stopped after a phylloxera infestation throughout Germany. The quarry stone terraces of the vineyard can still be clearly seen on the Elzenberg.
The Elzenberg got its name from the Elsbeere a Sorbus plant. The fruit was used as an additive in the tannery and in beer brewing. The wood is very resistant and enjoys great popularity as woodturning wood. It is traded under the name "Swiss Binbaum".

After some time the path goes downhill on a serpentine road. After a further descent the path leads to the road "Am Kesselberg". On the right before the underpass is the entrance to the historic fairytale forest.Path 1 crosses Gartenstraße and the B9 and then leads along Sebastianusstraße to the banks of the Rhine.
