Barrier-free section of the Laacher See lakeside circular trail
The step-free hiking trail with a total length of 2.1 km leads from the car park in Maria Laach close to the shore to the car park at the Laacher See campsite (no circular route).

People with walking disabilities and wheelchair users
At the Tourist Information in Maria Laach there are three marked parking spaces for people with disabilities (space size: 285 cm x 582 cm).
The path from the car park to the hiking trail is 100 m long. It is not easy to walk or drive on and has a maximum longitudinal gradient of 5 % over a distance of 40 m. Alternatively, there is a direct path from the parking spaces for people with disabilities to the Maria Laach boat rental (end of the first section of the path). This is easier to walk and drive on, but has a maximum longitudinal gradient of 8% over a distance of 20 metres.
The hiking trail is at least 120 cm wide, but usually wider. It is partly not easy to walk and drive on and has maximum longitudinal gradients of up to 18 % over a length of 2 m (two bridges). Where there are bollards, the distance between them is at least 117 cm. There are seating areas along the path, but partly with larger distances.
The trail is car-free. There is no need to cross a road used by motor vehicles.
The trail is signposted throughout. The information boards can mostly be read while sitting down. Aids offered: Rollator (available at the Tourist Information Office). There are no guided tours for people with walking disabilities and wheelchair users.
People with hearing disabilities and deaf people
Information is provided in written form and photo-realistic. No guided tours are offered for people with hearing disabilities and deaf people.
People with visual impairments and blind people
Assistance dogs may be brought along. The path does not have a continuous visually contrasting or tactilely detectable walkway boundary and is signposted throughout. The signage is designed in legible and high-contrast lettering. Information is conveyed in written and photorealistic form.
Information is not available in Braille or prismatic writing. No guided tours are offered for people with visual impairments and blind people.

The trail is signposted throughout. Information is provided in written and photorealistic form. There is no information in plain language.

The path leads along the shore of Lake Laach. There is a wonderful view of the lake from the boat rental.
Another vantage point about halfway along the trail is equipped with a bench for resting. At the end of the path is a miniature golf course.
