Dreamy brook meadows, gentle ridges and fantastic Eifel views await us on this unique circular tour, in the middle of the Obere Ahr-Hocheifel nature conservation project.
Accompanied by the babbling Trierbach stream, the route leads to the viewing platform of the Dörferblick loop just before Pomster. The magnificent distant view offers the observer a wonderful view over the varied Eifel landscape with the striking Aremberg (623 m), 12 picturesque villages and the once mighty Nürburg castle ruins on Mons Nore, the black mountain (678 m). A bench invites you to take a short rest.
Tranquil villages, dreamy meadow valleys and colourful mixed forests reflect the unspoilt nature of the Eifel along the entire route.
Highlights along the way:
- St. Wendelinus parish church in Kirmutscheid
- Viewing platform Dörferblick-Schleife near Pomster
- Marian pilgrimage church of St. Gertrud in Barweiler
Safety informationAfter long periods of rain, there could be some muddy passages. After heavy rainfall, the Wenigbach can become impassable.
