The varied hike through vineyards, meadows and forests offers many impressive viewpoints. A highlight during summer season, the return trip by passenger boat.

Following in the footsteps of the Moselle Camino, the hike leads through the "Steffensberg" vineyard to the "Fünf-Täler-Blick" (Five Valleys View), from where there is a wonderful view of the Moselle valley, Monteneubel, Großbachtal, Ahringstal and Karigbachtal. The trail then continues on forest paths through forests, meadows and fields of the Hunsrück heights to the highest point of the hike, the Bummkopf. From there, on a clear day, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Eifel.

Continue along a section of the "Briedeler Schweiz" dream loop to Zell.

During the season, you can take the passenger boat on the Moselle back to Enkirch.

Turn-by-turn directions

From the Enkirch tourist information office, we pass the main road and turn left at "Pino's Pizzeria" into the street "Im Bungert". Pass the "Weingut-Conrad" wine tavern on the right and walk to the "Steffensberg" vineyard. Here we turn left and follow the signpost E 2 (wine-growing nature trail, Moselhöhenweg, 5 Tälerblick).Walk uphill on the asphalt path until you reach the pavilion (beautiful view). We continue on the asphalt path to the left until we turn right and reach the heights. Here the path forks. We leave the asphalt path here and follow the field path straight on uphill to the 5 Tälerblick (most beautiful view of Enkirch and its valleys).

From here we follow the signposts "Zell" and Mosel-Camino (shell). The path continues to climb gently along an easily accessible forest path through an idyllic shady deciduous forest. We then cross fields and meadows to reach the country road from Hunsrück to Briedel, which we follow for a short distance to the hikers' car park on the left. You have reached the highest point of the hike, the Bummkopf. On a clear day, you can see as far as the volcanic cones of the Eifel.

From the hikers' car park, the trail leads along forest paths through "Briedeler Schweiz", with beautiful viewpoints into the Moselle valley, to Zell. Follow the signs for the "Briedeler Schweiz" dream loop, Moselle Camino (shell) or Zell. The "Schöne Aussicht" vantage point keeps its promise.

Once in Zell, follow the Moselle promenade into the centre.
