Turn-by-turn directions

We start at the Kordel intersection car park and follow hiking trail T8 (Moselhöhenweg M) towards Reil. Over the Burgberg (a Celtic refuge, built around 500 BC) past the Lämmerbach (also known as Schmetterlingstal), we reach the 50th parallel with a beautiful viewpoint into the Moselle valley. The circular trail continues along shady forest paths through the Haselbach to the Kröv mountain chapel. The chapel is always open and can be visited.

From there, continue to the starting point at the Kordel car park. On this last section, you will again enjoy beautiful viewpoints into the Moselle valley.

The entire circular trail is marked with a blue rhombus.

Very nice walk! I must say that it isn’t as easy as mentioned. Quite some steep hills, but overall worth it!
