Circular trail starting from the hiking car park in Mandeltal through the Palatinate Forest to the Burgundy rest area and via the Hessenkellerhütte back to Weisenheim am Berg.

Refreshment stop Weisenheimer Hütte at Ungeheuersee:
Mid-March to end of October Sundays and public holidays 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
November Sundays and public holidays 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
From mid-May to the end of October also open on Wednesdays from 12 - 17 hrs.
At the end of the tour, the varied Weisenheim gastronomy is open to you.

The trail runs mainly on forest soil. Watch out for roots, rocks and stones so that you don't lose your footing. After rainy days and especially in spring, autumn and winter, the paths can be wet and therefore slippery.Tips and hints

From the bus stop, walk up Neumayerstraße and reach Haalbergstraße at the school. The Mandeltal hikers' car park is about 300 metres away on the right at the end of the road.
Getting there
From the north:
Via the A61 motorway at the Frankenthal junction, take the A6 towards Kaiserslautern. Exit Grünstadt/Deutsche Weinstraße. Continue on B271 (Dt. Weinstraße) in the direction of Bad Dürkheim, take the exit Weisenheim am Berg. and at the entrance to Weisenheim am Berg turn right onto the bypass until almost the end of the town. At the bend, turn left into the village and immediately right again into Neumayerstraße. At the end of the road, turn right into Haalbergstraße until you reach the hikers' car park.
From the south:
Via the A61 motorway at the Ludwigshafen junction, take the A650 towards Bad Dürkheim. At the end of the motorway, continue on the B37. Pass the Bruch industrial area, turn right at the next traffic lights towards Ungstein. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit into the town. After approx. 50 m turn right onto B271 (Dt. Weinstraße), direction Grünstadt. At the traffic lights in Herxheim am Berg turn left towards Weisenheim am Berg. At the entrance to Weisenheim am Berg, turn right onto the bypass road until almost the end of the village. At the bend, turn left into the village and immediately right again into Neumayerstraße. At the end of the road, turn right into Haalbergstraße until you reach the hikers' car park.
