The Große Acht runs as a circular trail on a section of the 21-kilometre-long Ulmener Acht. On almost 14 kilometres, you will experience deep forests and narrow paths along babbling streams. The trail first leads you from Ulmen through deep forests to the idyllic Eifel village of Meiserich. From there you dive into the original valley of the Üßbach. On your way along the course of the Üßbach you will encounter two former mills - the Maismühle and the Auderather Mühle. The path leads through the green brook valley along the Nollenbach back to Ulmen. Visit the romantic Eifel town on your way back. There, the Ulmen Maar awaits you, the youngest maar in the Volcanic Eifel, with the Crusader Castle towering above it. From there you have a breathtaking view of the deep blue Maar and the romantic Eifel town. To end the hike in a relaxed atmosphere, the gastronomic offer provides the opportunity for a cosy stop.

The hike is adequately signposted according to the Ulmener Acht logo.

Fazit: NICHT ZU EMPFEHLEN!!!
