A route that has it all. The reward is pure variety in our beautiful nature: along meadows, fields, forests and stream valleys, you reach heights that offer a wonderful panoramic view of the Volcanic Eifel.

Due to the many special features along the way, it is advisable to plan enough time for stops in between.

The Trautzberg Maar, the smallest maar lake in the Eifel, and the wildly romantic Strohner Schweiz are just two of the many features of volcanism along the Lava Trail.

Insider tip: It's worth taking a look at the 120 t heavy lava bomb, which is only a 5-minute walk from the Strohn Volcano House!

Sehr schöne Tour, abwechslungsreich. Freie Fläche, Wald, Wasser, alles ist mit dabei.

Insgesamt eher mittelmäßige Tour. Leider überwiegend Schotter-und Asphaltwege und wenig Abwechslung. Positve Punkte waren die perfekte Beschilderung, die Länge des Weges, kein Straßenlärm ( lediglich die ersten 5 km sind recht laut durch die Arbeiten im Lavawerk), die Strohner Schweiz, der Klosterweiher und das Stück am Sammetbach. Man sollte auch genügend Proviant mitnehmen, da es unterwegs keine Einkehrmöglichkeit gibt, dafür aber viele schöne Bänke.
