The HeimatSpur Waterfall Experience Route has been nominated as Germany's most beautiful hiking trail! From 13 January, you can vote for the hiking trail in the public vote. The trail leads out of Bad Bertrich through the pedestrian zone. At the Hohenzollern tower, a fantastic view of the town in the valley and the Eifel heights awaits you. Embedded in the wild and romantic landscape of the Erdenbach valley and its side valleys, the route leads to the Klidinger waterfall. The highest waterfall in the Eifel plunges 28 metres into the depths - a true natural spectacle! Past Kennfus, the route leads to the Falkenlay nature reserve. On the last section of the trail, the naturally grown boxwood of the Palmberg creates an enchanted hiking atmosphere. In addition to the fairytale surroundings of the Klidinger waterfall, numerous other scenic highlights await you.Insider tip: The spa garden with the electoral palace and imposing Kursaal is worth a detour!Highlights along the way:

Wir sind die Tour von Kennfus aus. Wir haben Ortsausgang in der Moselblickstr. geparkt. Dann sind wir in Richtung Ort gesehen nach links gestartet. So hatten wir den Wasserfall am Schluss der Tour. Ich empfand die Tour so ein wenig als Aussichtstour auf Bad Bertrich, dessen Charme scheinbar ein wenig bröckelt. Sicher auch eine Folge von Corona. Der Weg war meiner Meinung nach sehr schön und abwechslungsreich. Die Maischquelle ist wirklich super, ein Hochgenuss, wenn man nach dem Aufstieg von Bad Bertrich aus, dort was kühles zu trinken bekommt. Für Kinder ist das schon sehr herausfordernd! Man braucht schon etwas Kondition. Wir sind aus dem Saarland angereist und haben den Weg dort hin nicht bereut. Schönster Wanderweg? Die Meinung ist ja immer sehr subjektiv. Aber er hat schon einiges zu bieten, langweilig wurde uns jedenfalls nicht.

"Die Highlights auf einer Perlenschnur." So nannte es unser Wirt in Bad Bertrich. Dem kann ich so nur zustimmen. Auf dem Weg sind viele schöne Aussichtspunkte über das enge Tal und die Überbleibsel der Vulkane mit einer Höhle im Vulkangestein. Der Extraweg zum Wasserfall lohnt sich, ist aber wie viele schon beschrieben haben noch mal deutlich anstrengender. Wer den Weg so rum läuft, dass die Höhle nach dem Wasserfall kommt, kann sich an der Maischquelle ein kühles Getränk für das letzte Drittel gönnen. Danke an die freiwillige Feuerwehr (?), die sich darum mit viel kümmert! P. s .: Zwischendurch mal Forstwege finde ich gar nicht schlimm - dann kann man sich wenigstens mal wieder besser unterhalten und muss nicht so schreien 😉

Der Anfang und der Schluss ist ganz schön. Dazwischen jedoch einfach nur Forstwege. Hat leider nichts mit schönem Wanderweg zu tun. Würde gerne wissen, wer den Weg gewählt hat und ob diese Personen die anderen Wege überhaupt kennen. Jede Traumschleife (sogar die schlechteste) ist schöner
