Turn-by-turn directions
The path leads from here in a northerly direction via Frantzplatz, Marktstrasse and Kirchgasse to the Weinstrasse Nord. A jewel along the way is the Catholic Church “St. Cosmas and Damian ”. It is a spacious baroque hall from the years 1756/57 and is located in a place where a sizable building already stood in late Roman times.
After crossing the Weinstrasse Nord, the circular route continues through Rebengasse, at the end of which it branches off to the right into the street "Im Kirchenstück", here at the end turn left and then straight on along Diedesfelder Strasse. This leads out of Maikammer to the roundabout.
Here the path continues along the L 512 (German Wine Route) in the direction of Diedesfeld. After about 200 m he turns left into a dirt road. Here again there is a beautiful view of the Palatinate Forest and Hambach Castle.
It goes about 1 km straight ahead almost to the edge of the forest, at a small pond the path then turns left and follows the hiking trail Deutsche Weinstrasse in a southerly direction to the L 515 (Kalmithöhenstrasse).
After crossing the road, the path continues a good 100 m further south, before turning left and continuing along the Kapellenweg and the wine trail. Shortly before Maikammer's first houses appear, the circular path branches off to the right. At the end it goes a short distance to the left and then immediately to the right again into the Mühlstrasse. After approx. 500 m the path meets St. Martiner Straße (K 32) and then continues through the Mühlweg to the Kropsbach. BG RCI is on the left. This is circled and the path continues left along the stream to the southern bypass. Here it goes through the Gartenstraße, Weinstraße Süd and Immengartenstraße back to the starting point on the parking deck.
