Very scenic trail with nice views over St. Goar, the Rhine river with the Loreley rock and the castles Katz and Rheinfels.

Starting at the city hall in St. Goar walk up the “Schloßberg” and after passing under the train tracks follow the sign posts past the youth hostle and on the “Landgräfin-Anna-Elisabeth-Weg” to the Castle Rheinfels.

From the inner ward the trail passes the “Backes”, runs through the archway, across the pedestrian bridge and up the stairs into the nature trail. This path leads you to the viewpoints “Uhlenhorst” and “Dreiburgenblick”.

At “Dreiburgenblick” you can see the three Castles Maus, Katz and Rheinfels. From there the trail continues through Biebernheim along the roads “Stockgarten” and “Seelenweg” to the viewpoint “Wackeberg”. There you have a wonderful view on the town of St. Goar and the Rhine valley.

You continue along the hillside to the viewpoints “Hoher Felsen” and “Loreleyblick” before entering the picturesque “Seelenbach” valley which leads you onto a small hill. From there you walk through the railway underpath and take a right on the main road passing the Wine shop “Philipps Mühle” and the Panorama Restaurant Loreley before crossing the main road (B9) and turning left to get down to the Rhine promenade.

After about 1 km the trail follows the steps up to the „River pilots and navigator museum“. From there you follow the pedestrian walk and cycling trail back to the starting point, the city hall of St. Goar.
