This trail opens up magnificent wide views of the Soonwald, Taunus and North Palatinate Mountains as well as deep views into the valleys of the Nahe, Glan and Hagenbach. It connects the region’s dry grassland and rock biotopes, which are worthy of protection, with their rich biodiversity of rare flowering plants and butterflies. The trail runs largely through an open, sunny landscape characterised by vineyards that are still cultivated and some that are disused.

The German Hiking Institute rated the premium trail with an excellent 80 experience points!

Author’s recommendation
