Safety information
In the winter months, the quality of the path may be impaired due to wood clearing work on individual sections of the path.
Due to the dryness and the extreme increase of bark beetles resulting from it wood felling work must be accomplished on the Wäller tour chaffinch country. for this reason the footpath is probably diverted to at the end of of July on the distance between Gackenbach and Dies in some places. The detour is signposted. Thank you for your understanding.

Turn-by-turn directions
The chaffinch, who lives here, was the godfather for this circular hiking trail, which circles the villages of Gackenbach, Hübingen and Horbach and thus the "chaffinch country" on 14 km. From Gackenbach it goes down into the Gelbachtal, past the extensive area of the game and leisure park. Worth seeing along the way are the ruins of the old smelting works in Seelbachtal and the deserted village of Willgenhausen, a settlement that was already abandoned in the 17th century.
