For people who like to have an overview: On the Westerberg circular route, the Rhine-Hessian panorama can be enjoyed to the full, completely relaxed and without inclines. The magnificent Westerhaus Castle from the 15th century with its vinotheque and the nearby stud is a particularly picturesque eye-catcher - and definitely worth a delightful detour with wine tasting for wine connoisseurs. Another landmark is the Bismarck Tower, the starting point of the tour and a remarkable vantage point during the day is freely accessible. The view from the Bisrmarck Tower into the Rhine Valley and into the Rheingau is an absolute must. There are other places to stop for refreshments in the Waldeck mountain restaurant or in Brauser's Bergschänke. In the Waldeck Tiger Garden you can also look the majestic big cats straight in the eye ... Guided tours ("Tiger - eye to eye") are offered where you can look up to one meter the animals come up. There is also a small petting zoo next to the tiger enclosure.

Turn-by-turn directions
The well-signposted circuit begins directly with a wonderful panoramic view of Ingelheim and the Rheingau from the Bismarck Tower. We continue along the edge of the slope - always with a wonderful view. Past the paddocks of the Westerberg stud farm, the tour finally leads back to the Bismarck tower. A detour with wine tasting to the Schloss Westerhaus winery, which is located in a picturesque castle ensemble from the 15th century, is worthwhile. From the castle you have a beautiful view over the romantic Selztal.
