The Maare-Moselle cycle path takes the cyclist along the former railway line through two remarkable regions: The impressive cultural landscapes of the Moselle and the Eifel.
This route is particularly popular with cyclists: it links the impressive Moselle cultural landscape with its vineyards and romantic villages with the rugged and romantic volcanic Eifel. Over viaducts and innumerable bridges, through cool tunnels and the deep forests of the Eifel, past extinct volcanic lakes and deep blue maars, the route descends into the wine cultural landscape of the Moselle. On the eight bike adventure loops you will learn a lot about the country and its people, numerous rest stops along the way offer cyclist-friendly resting places and food. Because of the continuous asphalt surface, the Maare-Moselle cycle path is also suitable for inline skating throughout.
The RegioRadler Bus runs between Bernkastel-Kues and Daun (April 1 - November 1). It is recommended to take the bus to Daun and cycle back to Bernkastel-Kues. Online reservation of the bike bus for bike transport (up to four hours before departure) at www.regioradler.de or at the Tourist-Information Centre in Bernkastel-Kues.
