Reckweilerhof-Ausbacherhof - Veldenz-Wanderweg - Stage 4 (Leading-Quality-Trail - Best of Europe)
Vineyard walls and old vineyards line the way before we enjoy a magnificent view of the "Lauter-Schleife" in Hohenöllen.
Silent woods and the babbling Sulzbach, which we have to cross, lead you into a daydream.
After passing the Hobstätter Hof, with its restaurant "Der Pferdestall," we reach the destination of this, the 4th stage, the Ausbacherhof, a family agricultural business with direct marketing as well as learning and adventure farm. The Vesperclause "Rusticus" offers guests food and refreshments and a farm café has also been completed.

Turn-by-turn directions
From here, we have a beautiful view of the Lautertal and the village of Heinzenhausen.
We descend down farm tracks into the Lautertal, cross over the B270 main road and wander through the village of Heinzenhausen. Behind the village, the path leads up a short steep section before meandering at largely the same height to the South until we reach the former Roman road shortly before Hohenöllen.
The Veldenz Wanderweg now leads us through the village where it always pays you to keep your eyes open: Gottfried Bräunling, a renowned artist from Dresden, has furnished an old farmhouse with numerous sculptures and paintings, as well as converting it into an art studio and events centre.
There follows a varied path behind Hohenöllen - over fields and pastures and through woods, before we reach the Hobstätter Hof, which belongs to the village of Einöllen.
One final climb has to be dealt with before we reach our stage destination, the Ausbacherhof. Here we find a family agricultural business with direct marketing as well as learning and adventure farm. The Vesperclause "Rusticus" offers guests food and refreshments and a farm café has also been completed.
